Ottoman empire velvet, embroidery, richly embroidered with Islamic calligraphy and lined with cotton. It has apered ends decorated with tassels.
The embroidery is Al-Nisaa verse 103 from the Quran. Inna al-salaat kanat ala al-mouminina katiban mowkouta, prayer is an obligation for the believers.
It is signed and dated 1317 AH (1899/1900 AD).
The dimensions are 200 by 40 cm, and it is in very good condition.
