This is a wonderfully handcrafted 11^th to 12^th century AH (Ca. 17^th to 18^th century AD) plate. The circular form has a flat base and flaring rim and is adorned with an intricate calligraphic blessing or poem. It forms a testament to the significance of written language in Islamic/Persian culture. The well of the plate is equally remarkable, featuring beautiful zoomorphic decorations of various animals in motion, running around a vibrant floral background. Animal depictions have been a common feature in Islamic art, often symbolizing various concepts such as power, nobility, and spirituality. The stylized depictions of animals in this plate are particularly striking, conveying a sense of energy and liveliness through their dynamic postures and intricate details. The zoomorphic decoration on this plate, with its playful animals running around the floral background, adds a touch of whimsy and joy to the piece. 

Dimensions: 5 by 32,8 cm and weighs 1,06 kg. It is in very good condition.
