5th century AH Islamic decorated glass bottle (10th century AD)

This glass bottle is from 400 to 500 AH (900 to 1000 AD). The bottle has an apple-shaped lower body, elegantly crafted upon a subtle concave base. The facetted, funnel-shaped neck lends an air of sophistication to the overall design, while the body is adorned with intricate concentric circles and rhomboids around the base and shoulder, showcasing the unparalleled skill of Islamic glass artisans.

Islamic glass production was a true marvel of its time, characterized by intricate patterns and a remarkable finesse in design. It was a product of the remarkable advancements in science, technology, and the arts that the Islamic world brought forth during its golden age. 

Dimensions: 8,5 by 8,5 cm and it is 116 gr. It is in good condition, especially considering its age.

Provenance: Property of a London Islamic art specialist collector; previously in a collection formed since the 1980s.
